Spiral winders
The machinery
The use of paper case-filling machines in the food industry is ideal when paper cases need to be placed in baking trays, on oven belts or directly into trays and blister packs. Our solutions handle the full range of paper cases used in the confectionery industry: round, self-supporting, tulip-shaped, rectangular, square and special shapes. The quick removal of the paper case magazine and the gripper arm ensures very fast format changes, offering maximum production flexibility. The machines can be fitted with integrated conveyors, creating small manual or automatic filling lines via a tray synchroniser. For placement onto continuous-feed conveyors or those with variable discharge, we supply manual or motorised bases. Where required, we can place cups upside down directly onto the products. Advanced electronics allow for on-machine control panels or centralised control. Siemens, Omron, Allen-Bradley and Telemecanique PLCs, along with PROFINET, EtherCAT, EtherNet/IP and CANopen protocols, ensure compatibility with any company specifications.

The machinery
In this section, you’ll find answers to frequently asked questions to help you better understand how our machinery works and the services we offer. Quick and clear support to guide you in choosing and using our solutions.
What is a spirottinatrice and when is it necessary to use one?
A paper case feeder is a machine that automatically picks up paper cases from a stack and places them precisely onto baking trays, oven belts, trays or blister packs. It is essential whenever paper cases need to be fed continuously and positioned with precision, replacing a slow and error-prone manual process.
What types of baking cases can a Bellini Machines case-filling machine handle?
Bellini Machines’ cupcake moulding machines process the full range of cupcake cases for the confectionery industry: round, self-supporting, tulip-shaped, rectangular, square and special shapes. A single machine can therefore handle the entire production process without the need to purchase dedicated equipment for each shape.
How long does it take to change from one type of baking case to another?
Format changeovers are extremely quick thanks to the tool-free removal of the cup magazine and the gripper arm. This feature is essential for companies working on a made-to-order basis with a wide range of product variants, as it enables them to switch from one production run to another in the shortest possible time.
Is it possible to place the baking cases on continuous-feed or variable-speed conveyor belts?
Yes. For applications involving continuous-feed or variable-output conveyor belts, Bellini Machines supplies manual or motorised bases. The machine can be fitted with a tray synchroniser to create small manual or fully automated filling lines.
Can the cup-filling machine place the cups upside down on the products?
Yes, on request, the cup-forming machine can be configured to place cups upside down directly onto the products. This function is useful in specific packaging applications where the cup acts as a lid or protective cover.
Can the machine be integrated with conveyor belts to create a complete production line?
Yes. Spirottinatrici machines can be fitted with integrated conveyors, forming small manual or automatic filling lines. This makes it possible to create compact, highly productive workstations without the need for complex layouts.
Which control systems is the spirottinatrice compatible with?
The spooling machine supports Siemens, Omron, Allen-Bradley and Schneider Electric PLCs, with PROFINET, EtherCAT, EtherNet/IP and CANopen protocols. The control cabinet can be installed on the machine itself or connected to a centralised line control cabinet, adapting to any existing infrastructure.
In which sectors is the spirottinatrice used?
The paper-casing machine is mainly used in the bakery, food and packaging sectors. It is the standard solution in the confectionery and industrial bakery sectors for muffins, cupcakes, tartlets, pralines and any product requiring a paper case.
What are the overall dimensions of the standard spool winding machine?
The spirottinatrice is designed to be compact and easy to integrate into a production line. The specific dimensions vary depending on the model (standard, rotary, tilting, universal, special) and the required configuration. For precise dimensional data, please request a bespoke technical quotation.
