Thanks to the experience we have gained in the manufacture of demoulders, we offer heads compatible with robots of any make, featuring quick-change systems using dedicated flanges, either manufactured in-house or supplied by external manufacturers. Product handling, whether hot or cold, can be carried out using needles, suction cups or grippers, all made from non-toxic, washable materials that comply with food safety regulations. The use of high-quality mechanical and pneumatic components ensures reliability and operational continuity. The head-carrying trolleys can be fitted with washing tanks to allow for the sanitisation of the needles during cleaning operations. On request, we also supply complete solutions featuring anthropomorphic robots from the brand of your choice.

What are robot heads and what is their main function?
Robot end-effectors are gripping devices mounted on the wrist of an industrial robot, designed to remove baked goods from baking trays in an accurate, reliable and repeatable manner. They replace the gripping heads of Cartesian unmoulders when the robot’s flexibility is a key system requirement.
Which brands and models of robots are the Bellini Machines heads compatible with?
Bellini Machines heads are compatible with robots of any make. They are connected via dedicated flanges with a quick-change system, either manufactured in-house or supplied by specialist external manufacturers. On request, Bellini Machines can supply complete solutions including an anthropomorphic robot of the desired make.
What types of grippers are available for robot end-effectors?
Needle, suction cup and gripper heads, as well as special versions, are available. The choice depends on the type of product: needles are suitable for soft baked goods, suction cups for smooth surfaces, and grippers for structured or fragile products that cannot be pierced.
Do the materials that come into contact with the product comply with food safety regulations?
Yes. All the materials used to manufacture the needle tips, suction cups and tongs are non-toxic, washable and comply with current food safety regulations. This applies to both hot and cold products.
How is the sanitisation of needles or suction cups managed during production?
Head-holding trolleys can be fitted with integrated washing tanks, which allow for the automatic sanitisation of needles or gripping devices during cleaning operations, without having to remove the head from the robot.
How long does it take to switch from one product to another using a robot head?
The quick-change system, which uses a dedicated flange, allows the head to be replaced very quickly. The availability of multiple interchangeable heads on a single robot makes it possible to handle different product variants without lengthy downtime for format changes.

What is the advantage of using a robot with a cutting head compared to a traditional mould-removal machine?
The robot with a head offers maximum flexibility of movement across multiple axes, making it ideal for complex layouts or for applications requiring pick-and-place operations with placement at variable positions. The Cartesian manipulator, on the other hand, is better suited to high-speed applications involving repetitive linear paths. The two solutions are complementary, and the choice depends on the specific requirements of the system.
Is it possible to have a turnkey solution including a robot and a test head?
Yes. Bellini Machines can provide complete solutions, including anthropomorphic robots of the desired brand, customised gripper heads and integration into the production line’s electrical cabinet. This ensures a single point of contact for the entire robotic demoulding system.
