Packaging lines
The machinery
By creating fully customised production lines, we are able to resolve all the issues that arise during the design of a new plant. By combining our own machines, these lines guarantee high speed, reliability, reduced format changeover times, ease of cleaning and full compliance with regulations. Thanks to advanced electronic components, we can integrate the electrical control panel directly onto each machine or manage the entire plant via a centralised control panel. The use of Siemens, Omron, Allen-Bradley and Telemecanique PLCs, together with PROFINET, EtherCAT, EtherNet/IP and CANopen protocols, ensures compatibility with any company’s specifications.

The machinery
In this section, you’ll find answers to frequently asked questions to help you better understand how our machinery works and the services we offer. Quick and clear support to guide you in choosing and using our solutions.
What is meant by a complete packaging line, and what advantages does it offer compared to individual machines?
A complete packaging line integrates, in sequence, all the machines required for the process – destackers, demoulders, tray loaders, conveyors, cappers and formers – all designed and optimised to operate in synchronisation. Compared to assembling machines from different suppliers, it offers a single point of responsibility, native communication between machines, coordinated format changeovers and simplified after-sales support.
What types of packaging lines does Bellini Machines manufacture?
Bellini Machines manufactures can packaging machines, multipack lines, filling lines for weighing machines, chocolate packaging lines, tray-turning lines, mozzarella packaging lines, ultrasonic sealing lines, biscuit packaging lines and lines for special occasions. Each line is custom-designed.
Can Bellini Machines’ packaging lines be fully customised?
Yes. Each line is fully customised based on the customer’s product and process specifications, as well as their layout constraints. This bespoke design approach enables us to resolve all the issues that arise during the design of a new plant, optimising speed, footprint and operating costs.
How is synchronisation managed between the machines that make up the production line?
Synchronisation is managed by advanced electronics, either via a central control panel or via control panels fitted to each individual machine, which communicate using standard industrial protocols (PROFINET, EtherCAT, EtherNet/IP, CANopen). Siemens, Omron, Allen-Bradley and Schneider Electric PLCs ensure compatibility with any automation infrastructure.
What happens if one of the machines on the production line breaks down?
The line can be fitted with a modem for remote assistance, enabling Bellini Machines’ technical support team to intervene swiftly to diagnose and resolve the problem remotely, thereby reducing downtime. For faults requiring on-site intervention, the line’s modular design allows the faulty machine to be isolated without shutting down the entire plant.
How long do format changes take on a complete production line?
The Bellini Machines ranges are designed to minimise format changeover times. Thanks to the standardisation of the clamping systems and the coordinated format changeover between machines via recipes managed by the centralised control panel, it is possible to switch from one production run to another much more quickly than with heterogeneous solutions.
Does the packaging line comply with food industry hygiene regulations?
Yes. All production lines are designed in full compliance with current regulations for the food, pharmaceutical and cosmetics industries. The materials that come into contact with the product are selected to be non-toxic and sanitiseable; the design of the machinery ensures easy access for cleaning and the absence of areas where dirt can accumulate.
What is the process for requesting and receiving a quote for a complete line?
The process begins with a technical consultation during which the Bellini Machines team analyses the product, the required output rates, the available layout and the process requirements. This is followed by a technical proposal, a site visit if required, and the preparation of a quotation including a functional diagram of the production line. The team can be contacted on +39 030 918100 or by email at info@belliniemeda.it.
Is it possible to integrate robots and vision systems into packaging lines?
Yes. Bellini Machines’ production lines can incorporate anthropomorphic robots for pick-and-place operations, machine vision systems for quality control, multihead weighers and other auxiliary systems. The fully bespoke approach enables the construction of complete automation cells for any packaging process.
Does Bellini Machines provide after-sales support and spare parts for the lines it has installed?
Yes. Bellini Machines provides after-sales service, including on-site visits and remote support via teleconsultation. Spare parts are readily available thanks to the use of standard components sourced from leading suppliers (Siemens, Omron, Parker, etc.), making it easy for customers to source them themselves if required.
